Voluntary Liquidation of Prosper Capital LLP

On June 1, 2026, Prosper Capital LLP initiated a voluntary liquidation process by creditors. Jeremy Karr and Simon Killick of BTG Begbies Traynor (Central) LLP were appointed as joint liquidators. Prosper, a company authorized by the FCA (company reference number: 453007), managed alternative investment funds and facilitated investment deals. They have requested to cancel their authorization, which is subject to review by the FCA.

Complaints and Contacting the Liquidators

Prosper was also responsible for the activities of its appointed representative, Crowd2Let Capital Limited (Crowd2Let) (FRN: 743371). Customers wishing to file or having an existing complaint against the company should contact the joint liquidators. The liquidators can be reached via: [protected email], by phone at 020 7516 1500, or by mail at: BTG Begbies Traynor, Level 33, One Canada Square, London E14 5AB.

Causes of the Liquidation

The Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) ruled in favor of complaints related to property investments made through Crowd2Let. After assessing its financial situation and receiving professional insolvency advice, Prosper ceased operations and took steps to enter voluntary liquidation.

FCA Oversight

Although Prosper has requested to cancel its authorization, the FCA still oversees them under its rules. However, the FCA does not regulate insolvency processes or the joint liquidators. These liquidators are regulated by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and must comply with insolvency law, answering to the courts.

Caution Against Potential Frauds

It is important for customers to remain vigilant against potential frauds. If you receive an unexpected call from someone claiming to be from Prosper or BTG Begbies Traynor, end the call and contact the liquidators using the provided contact details.
