Overcoming Early Challenges
With five players remaining, Lapka held nearly half of the chips but faced a dramatic downturn after an aggressive play against David Peters. Peters snap-called Lapka's five-bet shove with ace-king, leaving Lapka with just 16 big blinds. Reflecting on the hand, Lapka said, "There were a few things going through my mind that hand." Peters’ call revealed a second pair, but Lapka’s pair of jacks secured his victory and thwarted Peters’ chance at a fifth ring.
