The PokerStars MicroMillions series will start on August 16, offering 139 events until August 31, with over $2 million in guaranteed prizes. With affordable buy-ins ranging from $1.10 to $22, the goal is to attract players of all levels. The launch of this series coincides with the approach of the World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP), providing a perfect opportunity to refine strategies.

The main event, $22 NLHE PKO, is the centerpiece of the schedule, but there are other notable events:

  • August 16: $11 Sunday Storm PKO ($75K GTD) and $22 Sunday High Roller ($75K GTD)
  • August 23: $11 Sunday Storm PKO ($75K GTD) and $22 Sunday High Roller ($75K GTD)
  • August 30: $22 Main Event PKO ($250K GTD)

In 2025, the main event attracted 20,600 participants, with Brazilian player 'pretinhouva' winning $25,911 after paying a buy-in of $22.

Preparation for the WCOOP

This year, PokerStars has designed the MicroMillions series not only to offer large prizes but also as a preparation for the prestigious WCOOP. Benjamin 'Spraggy' Spragg, an ambassador for PokerStars, notes that it is "the ideal place to start" for those planning to compete in WCOOP in September. With low buy-ins and multiple satellites, players can try new formats and contend for titles without significant investments.

More Than an Affordable Tournament

MicroMillions is more than just a series of low-cost tournaments. It provides players with the chance to participate in a variety of formats, improving their skills and strategies. The available low-cost satellites make it accessible to participate even on a limited budget.

With PokerStars offering this rich and affordable experience, more players can enjoy the excitement and challenges of poker.
