- Operating remote betting or gaming without a GRAI licence once the licensing regime is in force

License validity: Phased rollout: remote betting licences from 1 July 2026; remote gaming (online casino) licences from mid-2026
Land-Based Gambling
Allowed
- Land-based betting shops
- Casino-style gaming at private members' clubs (transitional regime pending full GRAI casino licensing)
- Licensed lotteries, bingo and raffles
Prohibited
- Unlicensed in-person betting or gaming once GRAI in-person licensing takes effect (from 1 December 2026)
Taxation

License validity: In-person betting licences issued from 1 December 2026; full casino/brick-and-mortar licensing expected from 2027
