MarePineta Unveils New Club House at Milano Marittima

MarePineta Milano Marittima has opened a new Club House in celebration of its 100th anniversary. This ambitious project aims to bolster its status as a premier Italian hospitality destination. The official launch occurred on July 16 during an event titled “OPEN – The First Serve”, attended by guests, media, and stakeholders. Tennis icons Flavia Pennetta and Fabio Fognini, along with owners Giancarlo and Davide Salaroli and Cervia's Mayor Mirko Boschetti, officiated the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Centenary Celebration at MarePineta

Founded in 1926 as the first major hotel in the region, MarePineta represents a cornerstone of Italian hospitality. Situated in a historic pine forest overlooking the Adriatic Sea, the resort blends tradition, elegance, and innovation. It has evolved into a renowned destination for international tourism, hosting prominent figures in sports, entertainment, and culture.

Now under the leadership of the Salaroli Group, MarePineta continues to expand with a focus on hospitality, wellness, sports, and culture. “The Club House symbolizes more than just a new hospitality venue; it synthesizes our future vision,” states Davide Salaroli, Managing Director. The investment prioritizes tennis, a key aspect of the MarePineta identity, and underscores its commitment to hosting global visitors.

The Role of Tennis in MarePineta's History

Tennis has been integral to MarePineta since its inception. Initially offering two clay courts for guests, the complex expanded to ten courts as interest grew. The Tennis Club MarePineta has become a hub for amateur and veteran circuits in Romagna, hosting the Coppa Palanti since 1928. Currently, the MarePineta Sporting Club features eight clay courts and three padel courts, inaugurated in 2021.

The New Club House Facilities

The new Club House aligns with the resort's tennis tradition, housing 18 luxury suites inspired by the four Grand Slam tournaments. These suites offer views of the tennis courts, park, and sea, embodying luxury through natural materials and bespoke furnishings. The Club House hosts photograph exhibitions and an art installation that enhances the tennis-associated experience.

Event Highlights at "OPEN – The First Serve"

A key moment of the inauguration was a talk show featuring Flavia Pennetta and Fabio Fognini, interviewed by Federico Ferri from Sky Sport. Their dialogue covered the challenges and triumphs of their tennis careers, illustrating the sport as a metaphor for personal growth and excellence. Over 250 guests, clad in white, attended the event, which included a welcome aperitif, gala dinner, and performances that reimagined iconic tennis moves.

Raffaella Reggi and Sandra Cecchini, celebrated Romagna tennis players, were also in attendance. This project marks MarePineta's recognition of its 100-year journey and affirms tennis as a core component of its identity, looking toward the future with optimism.
