Rush May Join Sphere Lineup; Marc Anthony and Diana Ross Extend Vegas Shows

Reports indicate that Rush is negotiating to perform a series at the Sphere. SiriusXM radio host Eddie Trunk revealed that sources suggest a deal for 16-18 shows in 2027 is almost finalized. These rumors followed Trunk’s remarks during his broadcast, stating he heard contracts might be completed soon. A report by U.K. tabloid The Sun supported the claim, mentioning secret negotiations. However, no official confirmations have been made by Rush or Sphere management yet.

Co-founders Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson are currently touring under "Rush: Fifty Something," their first series since 2015 and drummer Neil Peart's passing in 2020. They are accompanied by drummer Anika Nilles and keyboardist Loren Gold. The tour covers North America, Europe, and South America, concluding on April 10, 2027. Should a Sphere residency materialize, it would likely follow this tour and after Metallica's Sphere performances wrap in March 2027.

Marc Anthony Expands His Las Vegas Residency

Marc Anthony has announced a further extension of his Las Vegas residency at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas. The casino resort is adding eight new dates to the "Vegas… My Way!" lineup at the BleauLive Theater. Tickets for these additional performances on September 11, 12, 13, 16, 18, 19, and November 20, 21 will be available starting 10 a.m. PT on Friday, July 24, via Ticketmaster and FontainebleauLasVegas.com.

This residency offers an intimate, bilingual display of Anthony’s extensive career, supported by a full live band. Following each show, late-night sessions at the Nowhere Lounge will feature live sets curated by Anthony’s bandmate, Motif.

Diana Ross Returns to the Encore Theater

Diana Ross is bringing her "Diana in Motion" residency back to the Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas. The new performances are set for October 2-4, following her successful Valentine’s Day weekend shows. Tickets for these dates will also go on sale at 10 a.m. PT on Friday, July 24 through Ticketmaster.

These developments underscore the vibrant entertainment scene in Las Vegas. Both Marc Anthony and Diana Ross continue to enrich the city's music offerings, while Rush’s potential Sphere residency would further diversify the lineup in 2027.
