D-TECT Forum: Innovation in Drones and Counter-Drones

The D-TECT Forum, organized by the European Commission, is the new mechanism for the industrial coordination of drone and counter-drone technologies in Europe. The inaugural event will take place on November 11, 2026, and is aimed at companies, research organizations, universities, industry associations, standardization bodies, and innovation networks active in the field of drones.

Objectives of the D-TECT Forum

The first forum seeks to gather over 100 high-level leaders to advance European ambitions regarding drone and counter-drone technology. Participants will analyze short-term cooperation opportunities across the entire value chain, including detection, tracking, and neutralization systems, autonomous and AI-enabled navigation, electronic detection and warfare, secure connectivity, and enabling technologies such as semiconductors, cloud, cybersecurity, and data.

Participation and Registration Procedure

To participate in the event, interested organizations must submit their participation request. This form also serves as registration for the call for expression of interest for future D-TECT forum events. It is important to note that merely submitting a request does not guarantee registration for the inaugural forum, and the outcomes of membership requests will be communicated subsequently.

Thematic Working Groups

During the forum, priorities and the composition of Thematic Working Groups will be defined, which will play a crucial role in exploring and defining joint strategies in the field of drone and counter-drone technologies.

Relevant documents, such as the call for expression of interest, privacy statement, and terms of reference, are available for download, ensuring transparency and clarity throughout the D-TECT forum process.

For more information on cybersecurity and other related technological initiatives, interested parties can consult the documentation provided by the European Commission.
