Midnite appoints former Entain legal executive as general manager in Gibraltar

Midnite has strengthened its international operation with the appointment of Anthony Ladislaus as the general manager in Gibraltar, just days after obtaining its license in this jurisdiction. The designation aligns with the company's expansion strategy, adding to the 59 companies authorized to operate in the British Overseas Territory.

New Legal Leadership in Gibraltar

Anthony Ladislaus takes on the general manager role at Midnite in Gibraltar after nearly eight years at Entain, where he held legal positions from January 2019 to September 2026. He joined the parent group of Ladbrokes and Coral as a commercial legal advisor and rose to deputy legal director for commercial matters in 2021. Before his tenure at Entain, Ladislaus worked at William Hill, an operator controlled by Evoke, from 2015 to 2018, serving as legal advisor and company secretary.

Additionally, Ladislaus serves as a director at the Gibraltar Betting and Gaming Association, which enhances his profile linked to the regulatory sector in the region. He announced his appointment via LinkedIn and emphasized the shift from his legal focus in gaming to an operational leadership role aimed at developing the brand in the Gibraltar market.

"After seven and three-quarters years at Entain, I was offered the opportunity for a change of scenery. This change involves leaving commercial lawyer life to join Midnite as general manager in Gibraltar, taking a key position in the development of the company in the Rock," Ladislaus stated.

Obtaining a License in Gibraltar and New Operational Center

Midnite's incorporation as the 59th licensed company in Gibraltar was recognized by Nigel Feetham, the Minister of Justice, Commerce, and Industry of Gibraltar, who is also responsible for the gaming sector. Feetham stated:

"I am pleased to welcome Midnite to Gibraltar. This investment is a direct result of the relationships created through our international outreach program over the last six months."

The minister emphasized that, despite a complex environment for the sector—including job cuts related to increased gaming taxes in the UK—Midnite's entry confirms the effectiveness of the ministerial strategy to attract new players and diversify the local economy.

Midnite recently established its office in Irish Place and is in the process of hiring 10 profiles for key roles such as heads of audit and risk, sports betting performance, IT, human resources, and social. Currently, the company is promoting the hiring of 25 professionals for its offices in the UK, Canada, Gibraltar, and South Africa.
