Fiona Power joins The Unit as new chief commercial officer.

The Unit has appointed Fiona Power, a former FanDuel executive, as its new Chief Commercial Officer. This move aims to expand its network of clients and partners in the U.S. and internationally. Power recently left FanDuel after seven years of service, having started her career in the sports betting and iGaming giant after moving from Paddy Power.

Fiona Power's Background

Fiona Power began in the retail department of Paddy Power, a subsidiary of Flutter Entertainment. She rose to become Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships. After her departure from FanDuel, she founded the consultancy Power Room Éire Partnerships and Advisory. Before moving to New Jersey to join FanDuel, Power was responsible for security and loss prevention at Paddy Power in Ireland.

Role at The Unit

In her new role, Power will focus on partnership development, identifying new and emerging verticals, and supporting The Unit’s international expansion. She will continue to lead her consultancy while fulfilling her duties at The Unit. She joins other leaders such as co-founder Paddy Casey and Chief Revenue Officer Mark O’Hare. Alan Bruce, former head of Novomatic and BetDEX, serves as Chief Operating Officer.

Power stated:

"I have known The Unit and its reputation in the industry for some time, and I am impressed by the business's growth and the high quality of its production. There is a great depth of expertise in betting and gaming in their centers in Europe and the U.S., along with a strong track record in solving complex challenges for operators."

She added that she looks forward to building on that foundation and leveraging market opportunities.

The Unit's Perspective

Paddy Casey indicated that Power has a proven ability to identify opportunities, bring the right people together, and turn strategy into execution. They were delighted to welcome her to the team.

Recently, The Unit opened an expanded headquarters in Moldova, in the capital city of Chisinau, employing nearly 100 people. It also has offices in Ireland, Gibraltar, and the U.S.
