SBC Summit Incorporates Global Payment Compliance into 2026 Agenda

The SBC Summit will examine the technologies, strategies, and regulatory developments underpinning modern payment compliance with the 'Global Payment Compliance' track scheduled for Wednesday, September 30. This segment brings together operators, compliance specialists, payment leaders, legal experts, and technology providers to discuss how businesses can strengthen payments, combat threats, and adapt to changing regulatory expectations.

Importance of Payment Compliance

Rasmus Sojmark, founder and CEO of SBC, stated: “Payment compliance has become one of the biggest challenges in the industry. Operators must enhance fraud prevention and AML threats while still providing the fast and seamless payment experiences that players demand.” According to Sojmark, success does not depend on choosing between compliance and customer experience; it is crucial to excel at both.

Exploring Compliance and Advanced Technology

The track will include a panel titled ‘AML in Motion: Continuous Monitoring in Modern Gaming,’ where experts such as Luis Carlos Pérez from Lottofy and Gintarė Wycherley from SEON will discuss how automation and risk detection can strengthen compliance without creating unnecessary friction for players.

Another highlight will be the session ‘Cross-Border Compliance: Navigating AML in African Markets.’ As mobile money and alternative payment methods drive growth in Africa, experts like Maruf Lawal from MOKO Afrika and Adenike Oyebamiji from Velex Group will explore how operators can navigate diverging requirements while maintaining seamless payment experiences.

Data Protection and Compliance

The balance between compliance and player privacy will be central to the session “How Much Data is Too Much?” Participants will discuss how operators can implement robust processes to satisfy regulators without exceeding data protection requirements.

AML Challenges in Emerging Gaming Formats

Throughout the day, AML challenges will also be addressed in ‘Preparing for AMLA’, examining how prediction markets and AI are transforming financial oversight. Attendees wishing to continue the conversation can take advantage of dedicated networking initiatives.

Networking and Collaboration Opportunities

The SBC Summit, from September 29 to October 1, 2026, will take place at the Lisbon International Fair and MEO Arena, attracting 40,000 industry professionals for three days of networking, exhibitions, and education.
