SBC Summit Introduces 2026 Global Payment Compliance Track

The SBC Summit 2026 will highlight "Global Payment Compliance" as part of its agenda on 30 September. This track focuses on the intersection of technology, strategy, and regulatory developments that shape modern payment compliance. Industry leaders will converge to discuss strengthening payment systems while adapting to changing regulations.

Balancing Compliance and Customer Experience

Rasmus Sojmark, Founder and CEO of SBC, underscores the dual challenge operators face. According to him, finding the balance between fraud prevention, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) threats, and seamless customer experiences is crucial. "Success isn't about choosing between compliance and customer experience; it's about getting both right," notes Sojmark.

The track will help delegates grasp strategies, technologies, and regulatory insights necessary for balancing these priorities effectively.

Key Sessions on AML and Cross-Border Compliance

A key panel, "AML in Motion: Continuous Monitoring in Modern Gaming," will delve into how operators integrate advanced AML measures. Speakers include Luis Carlos Pérez from Lottofy, Gintarė Wycherley from SEON, James Boyles from Evoke, and Carmelo Mazza from Betaland/Enjoybet. Moderator George Rover from Princeton Global Strategies will guide the discussion on automation and risk detection.

Further attention focuses on African markets with "Cross-Border Compliance: Navigating AML Across African Markets." As mobile money grows, experts Maruf Lawal of MOKO Afrika and Adenike Oyebamiji from Velex Group will explore navigating diverse regulations while ensuring smooth payment journeys.

Privacy Concerns and Emerging Game Formats

"How Much Is Too Much Data?" highlights the debate on compliance and player privacy. It features James Myles from Dragonbet, Miguel Godinho from Betclic Group, and Vana Demetriou from ZENOBET. They will discuss building processes that meet regulatory needs without infringing on privacy.

Sessions also cover AML challenges related to new game formats and the role of prediction markets and AI in financial oversight.

Networking Opportunities at SBC Summit

Beyond sessions, networking activities are planned. Attendees can join the Compliance Show Floor Tour for interactions with payment compliance exhibitors. The summit runs from 29 September to 1 October 2026, expecting 40,000 industry professionals at the Feira Internacional de Lisboa (FIL) and MEO Arena.

Conference participation requires either a Business or VIP Pass, with various networking events included.
