SBC Summit Introduces Global Payments Compliance Track 2026
The SBC Summit will explore technologies, strategies, and regulatory updates in payments compliance at the Lisbon fair from September 29 to October 1, 2026.

The SBC Summit will incorporate the topic of Global Payments Compliance into its 2026 agenda. This section will take place on Wednesday, September 30, and will gather operators, compliance specialists, payment leaders, legal experts, and technology providers. The goal is to analyze how companies can strengthen payments, combat threats, and adapt to changing regulatory expectations.
Importance of Payments Compliance
Rasmus Sojmark, founder and CEO of SBC, stated that "payments compliance has become one of the biggest challenges in the industry." Operators must enhance fraud prevention and anti-money laundering (AML) measures while maintaining a fast and seamless payment experience for players. "Success is not about choosing between compliance and customer experience, but achieving both correctly," he added.
Innovations in AML
The track will include the panel 'AML in Motion: Continuous Monitoring in Modern Gaming.' Experts such as Luis Carlos Pérez from Lottofy and Gintarė Wycherley from SEON will discuss how automation and intelligent risk detection can strengthen compliance without creating unnecessary friction for players.
Focus on African Markets
The panel 'Cross-Border Compliance: Navigating AML in African Markets' will explore one of the fastest-growing segments of the industry. As mobile money and alternative payment methods drive growth in Africa, the differences in requirements across jurisdictions to maintain seamless payment experiences will be analyzed.
Data Privacy and Protection
The session 'How Much is Too Much with Data?' will focus on the balance between compliance and player privacy. It will examine how businesses can establish solid processes that comply with regulations without exceeding the evolving data protection requirements.
Other Sessions and Networking
Throughout the day, challenges in AML for new gaming formats and how predictive markets and AI are revolutionizing financial oversight will also be discussed. Additionally, there will be a series of networking initiatives specifically designed for payments and compliance professionals. One such initiative is the Compliance Show Floor Tour, a guided tour that will introduce participants to the main exhibitors in payments compliance.
The SBC Summit will take place from September 29 to October 1, 2026, at the Feira Internacional de Lisboa and MEO Arena, welcoming 40,000 industry professionals for three days of networking, exhibitions, and education. A Business or VIP Pass is required to attend conference sessions and networking initiatives focused on payments compliance.
