The SBC Summit will include the 'Global Payments Compliance' track on Wednesday, September 30. This segment brings together operators, compliance specialists, payment leaders, legal experts, and technology providers to strengthen payments, combat threats, and adapt to new regulations.

Importance of Global Payments Compliance

Rasmus Sojmark, Founder and CEO of SBC, stated that payments compliance has become a crucial balancing act for the industry. He indicated that operators must enhance fraud prevention and AML threats while offering fast and seamless payment experiences.

"Success does not lie in choosing between compliance and customer experience; it’s about getting both right," said Sojmark. The track is designed to help delegates understand the strategies, technologies, and regulatory thinking required.

Integration of AML and Continuous Monitoring

One of the highlighted sessions, 'AML in Motion', will discuss how operators are integrating the latest advancements in AML compliance. Experts Luis Carlos Pérez, Gintarė Wycherley, James Boyles, Carmelo Mazza, along with moderator George Rover, will analyze how automation can enhance compliance without creating unnecessary friction for players.

Cross-Border Compliance in Africa

The track will also address the rapid growth in Africa during the session 'Cross-Border Compliance: Navigating AML in African Markets'. Maruf Lawal, Adenike Oyebamiji, and moderator Maleek Oyiza will discuss how operators can manage different requirements while maintaining seamless payment experiences.

Privacy vs Compliance

The balance between compliance and player privacy will be central to the session 'How Much Data is Too Much?'. James Myles, Miguel Godinho, Vana Demetriou, and moderator Jochen Biewer will explore how to build robust processes that satisfy regulators without exceeding evolving data protection requirements.

Challenges and Opportunities in Compliance

Other topics will include AML challenges of new gaming formats, prediction markets, and artificial intelligence, as well as preparations for the total implementation of the AMLA. Attendees will have opportunities to continue conversations through various specialized networking initiatives for payment and compliance professionals.

Participation and Networking Opportunities

The SBC Summit will take place from September 29 to October 1, 2026, gathering 40,000 industry professionals at the Feira Internacional de Lisboa (FIL) and MEO Arena. Exhibitors interested in participating in the Compliance Show Floor Tour can contact the sales team. Access to SBC Summit conferences is included in Conference, Business, and VIP passes.
