EGBA Seeks Regulatory Affairs Manager for EU Initiatives

The European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA) is expanding its regulatory and policy team by hiring a Regulatory Affairs and Policy Manager. Based in Brussels, the new role will report directly to the Secretary General, focusing on EU and national regulatory issues impacting the online gambling sector.

Responsibilities in Regulatory Affairs

The successful candidate will track and analyze legislative developments within EU member states. This includes understanding CJEU case law and translating these insights into actionable guidance for EGBA members. The manager will also be responsible for creating policy positions, briefings, and advocacy materials to engage with national regulators and stakeholders.

Key duties involve managing regulatory dossiers such as EU law infringement proceedings and public consultations. The role extends to coordinating EGBA’s internal committees and facilitating collaboration among members on shared policy objectives.

Representation and Communication

The manager will represent the EGBA at national meetings, workshops, and industry forums. Contribution to EGBA’s communications output, including reports and position papers, is another vital aspect of this role.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Candidates should have 3-5 years of experience in regulatory affairs or policy analysis, preferably within a trade association or regulatory body. A strong understanding of EU law and online gambling regulation is desirable. Excellent communication skills in English are essential, with additional EU languages considered beneficial.

Applicants must be proactive, well-organized, and capable of managing multiple complex dossiers. The role demands strong interpersonal skills and confidence in engaging with senior stakeholders.
