Three Arrested in Gibraltar Following Drug Operation
HM Customs' operation concludes with three arrests suspected of Class A drug trafficking, cocaine seizure, and cash.
In an operation led by HM Customs, three local residents were arrested in Gibraltar under suspicion of possession and supply of Class A controlled drugs. The operation began on Friday, August 7, 2026, at 5:55 p.m. when the Flexible Anti Smuggling Team (FAST) observed two men acting suspiciously at a bus stop near Beach View Terraces on Devil's Tower Road.
Initial Operation and Arrests
The two suspects, aged 32 and 39, were detained and searched, finding several wraps of substances believed to be cocaine in their possession. Both were arrested for suspected possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply. Additionally, a quantity of cash was confiscated.
Home Searches and Additional Evidence
At 6:50 p.m. on the same day, officers executed a search warrant at a home linked to one of the men. A 34-year-old woman was present. During the search, further suspicious substances, cash, precision scales, and other items related to drug trafficking were seized. An additional package containing a substance suspected to be cocaine was found in a moped at the same location. The woman was arrested on the same charges.
Post-Arrest Actions
In the early hours of Saturday, August 8, 2026, a second search was conducted at the residence linked to the other arrested man. During this operation, additional cash was confiscated. The three individuals were taken to New Mole House police station to be questioned about the alleged offenses.
They were subsequently released on bail and are due to appear on January 18, 2027. In total, approximately 51 grams of suspected cocaine were seized.
