Kitsune Studios will launch The Library Overdue, a direct sequel to its 2025 success The Library, on August 19 within the OpenRGS network of Hacksaw Gaming. This new title, developed in the United Kingdom, employs a 5x4 grid with winning combinations and Hacksaw’s Stackways™ mechanism.

Game Details and Mechanics

The game promises an expanded experience, allowing Stackways™ symbols to fill a reel with paying symbols, reaching up to a maximum of 20 Stacks per reel during bonus rounds. Kitsune has added an innovative symbol named Stackways™ Booster that can add up to ten additional Stacks per reel during bonus rounds. The game offers two free spin bonuses: Stack the Shelves Spins and Overdue Spins, with a maximum prize of 10,000x the bet.

Innovations and Additional Options

Rated as high volatility, The Library Overdue includes bonus buy options and FeatureSpins™ where permitted. Furthermore, it is accessible in over 20 languages and supports more than 80 currencies. These features aim to broaden the game's global appeal and facilitate its integration into various markets.

Kitsune Studios’ Perspective

Phillip Douglas, CEO and founder of Kitsune Studios, expressed that "The Library was the beginning of this studio, so returning two years later is something significant for us." He added that the game is designed to showcase how much the studio has evolved: “It’s darker, bigger, and more ambitious, but still unmistakably Kitsune. It’s a love letter to the early players and a statement of where we are heading.”

Expected Market Impact

The launch of this sequel not only reinforces Kitsune’s position in the market but marks a new chapter in its catalog. By combining innovative mechanics with a focus on providing greater internationalization, Kitsune aims to attract both new players and its traditional base.

Kitsune has shown ambition by targeting global markets with multilingual and multi-currency support. This allows for more effective penetration into various jurisdictions, adjusting to local preferences without losing its essence.

Preparations for Launch

Operators can already prepare for the integration of the game through the OpenRGS network, ensuring they are ready to offer this new experience to their players on the launch date of August 19. The expectation is that this launch will strengthen relationships with operators and generate new interest in Kitsune’s products.

The game’s advanced features and its focus on scalable gaming mechanics should attract both newcomers and veterans in the iGaming world, providing an immersive and high-volatility experience.
