LeoVegas Debuts Tiger Sportsbook in UK Across Key Brands
LeoVegas launches its proprietary Tiger sportsbook in the UK, enhancing BetMGM, LeoVegas, and BetUK with advanced features for competitive advantage.

LeoVegas has introduced its proprietary sportsbook, Tiger, to the UK market, marking its debut across the BetMGM, LeoVegas, and BetUK brands. This UK launch is part of a series of rollouts following Denmark, Brazil, and Sweden, and represents a key progression in LeoVegas's plan to enhance its in-house offerings using the Tipico US platform, acquired in 2024.
Tiger aims to differentiate itself with features like enhanced odds boosts, partial cash-out options, and a unique 'flex combi' product for flexible combination bets. These innovations aim to provide faster adaptation and foster sustainable strategic growth.
Strategic Growth and Development
According to Adrian Vella, Chief Product and Technology Officer at LeoVegas Group, this launch is pivotal in their two-year effort to develop a first-class proprietary sportsbook. "Every market launch has refined our platform, improved user experience, and strengthened our market position," he stated.
In launching the sportsbook in Denmark last year, LeoVegas and its parent company, MGM Resorts International, aimed for global expansion, excluding markets designated for their BetMGM joint venture with Entain.
UK Market Significance
James Derbyshire, Sports Director UK & Ireland at LeoVegas Group, emphasized the UK as one of the world's most competitive iGaming markets. He expressed enthusiasm about offering tailored features, remarking that launching Tiger in the UK is "a major milestone for the group."
The Tipico Acquisition
The acquisition of Tipico US not only provided LeoVegas with an advanced technological foundation but also integrated management and trading teams from Tipico. This move fueled LeoVegas's rapid technological integration, allowing quicker market entries, notably in emerging locations like Brazil.
An equities analyst highlighted that the acquisition notably sped up LeoVegas’s ability to control its tech stack, contrasting this with the slower pace of developing such capabilities internally.
Operational Execution
Despite rumors of delays, the phased rollout is in line with meticulous planning. As described by Vella, it includes rigorous testing, regulatory compliance adherence, and continuous enhancement of player experience. These steps ensure a smooth transition as LeoVegas introduces its platform to new markets.
LeoVegas is set to redefine its presence in the sports betting sector, leveraging its enhanced offerings to compete robustly in the UK market while building on its global expansion strategy.
