European Responsible Gaming Week 2026: Dates Announced

The European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA) has announced that the European Responsible Gaming Week 2026 will take place from November 16 to 22. As an annual initiative, this project aims to raise awareness about safe gaming and strengthen the culture of player protection. EGBA organizes it with the participation of stakeholders from across the European gaming industry to promote safe and sustainable gaming, share tools, resources, and best practices.

Achievements from Previous Years

The fifth initiative in 2025 was a record-breaking success: 221 partners from 24 countries participated, and the social campaign reached 4.1 million users, which is a 32% increase compared to the previous year. 23 events were held, gathering more than 2,500 participants. For the first time in its history, campaign messages were broadcasted at football matches and in retail stores across Europe, reinforced by the launch of a dedicated campaign website.

Plans for 2026

In 2026, a large-scale social campaign, a program of events, and an updated website are again planned. Maarten Heijer, Secretary General of EGBA, noted that the initiative has managed to expand its reach thanks to the efforts of hundreds of organizations: "Five years ago, this was a small initiative. Today it reaches millions of people across Europe. It has come a long way, and we are committed to making 2026 our strongest year. We invite organizations to consider how they can participate and contribute to this year's campaign."

Join the Campaign

The European Responsible Gaming Week will take place from November 16 to 22, 2026. EGBA invites new and returning partners to participate. If your company or organization is interested in getting involved, register to receive updates on how to join.

EGBA's Role in the Initiative

EGBA implements this initiative for EU and EEA countries, working alongside the independent Responsible Gaming Week in the United Kingdom and Ireland. The campaign focuses on engaging as many industry participants as possible to achieve a safe gaming environment together.
