SBC Summit in Tbilisi 2026 Marks Important Regulatory Discussions

The SBC Summit in Tbilisi, held on July 15-16, 2026, at the Sheraton Grand Tbilisi Metechi Palace, solidified its position as a key venue for discussing regulatory issues in the gaming industry of Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Organized in collaboration with the international consulting company SMH, the summit united operators, affiliates, suppliers, regulators, and regional leaders.

Unique Opportunities for Interaction

Participants noted the high level of discussions and access to executives, which facilitated the creation of new partnerships. Rasmus R. Sømark, founder and CEO of SBC, emphasized the significance of the summit: "SBC Summit Tbilisi is now a key meeting for the industry. The quality of discussions and the opportunity to meet with those shaping the market makes it special."

Dmitry Starostenkov, CEO of EvenBet Gaming, also highlighted the balanced format of the event: "The scale is perfect. This allows for deep discussions with existing partners."

Key Topics of the Conference

The program included topics such as market entry, the application of artificial intelligence, player engagement, and sports sponsorship. Among more than 70 speakers were Georgy Gwenetadze from Flutter CEE, Luca Kobalia from Smartsoft, and Denis Karpovich from EGT Georgia.

Fernando Morientes, a former athlete, highlighted the importance of knowledge exchange between sectors: "These conferences are valuable for the opportunity to share ideas and apply them across different industries."

Regulatory Forum

An important part of the agenda was the Regulatory Forum, where regulators from the EU, USA, Georgia, and Central Asia discussed best practices and cooperation. Valery Vizhak from the National Council on Gaming Business of Ukraine noted the importance of new ideas: "Our goal is to convey them to the government."

Milica Delevich from Delewhite emphasized that the forum helped understand the different legal systems of the region.

Opportunities for Startups

The event also provided startup opportunities to showcase their innovations. Starostenkov remarked: "It's great that startups are visible and can interact."

The program of social events, including parties and tournaments, fostered informal communication: Roxana Dinescu from Super noted that it helped build more personal acquaintances with colleagues.

Organization and Future

As noted by Lasha Machavariani from SMH Global, the summit's success was due to local expertise and sustainable relationships. With regulators from the USA and EU participating, the event underscored its international influence.

The next event will be the SBC Summit Global in Lisbon from September 29 to October 1, which promises to gather 40,000 professionals.
