MarePineta Opens New Club House in Milano Marittima
Flavia Pennetta and Fabio Fognini attended the opening ceremony of the new Club House, dedicated to the tennis history of MarePineta.

In its centenary year, MarePineta in Milano Marittima unveiled a new Club House during the event "OPEN – The First Serve" on July 16. This major project significantly strengthens the resort's position as a key player in the Italian hospitality industry. The ribbon was cut by Flavia Pennetta and Fabio Fognini, along with owners Giancarlo and Davide Salaroli, as well as the mayor of Cervia, Mirko Boscetti.
History and Future of MarePineta
MarePineta was founded in 1926 as the first major hotel in the region. It is currently managed by the Salaroli family and celebrates its 100th anniversary. The resort, combining traditions, elegance, and innovation, is set among century-old pines and on the Adriatic Sea. Today, under the direction of the Salaroli Group, it incorporates elements of hospitality, sport, and culture to create a unique experience.
Club House as Part of Tennis History
Tennis holds an important place in the history of MarePineta. Several decades ago, the first tennis courts were created in the park. Subsequently, with growing popularity, their number increased to ten. The MarePineta Sporting Club, associated with the resort, includes eight clay courts and three padel courts.
The new Club House features 18 suites inspired by the Grand Slam tournament series and represents a new chapter in the resort's sports tradition. Each room overlooks the tennis courts, park, or sea, making a stay here special.
Opening and “OPEN – The First Serve”
The special event “OPEN – The First Serve” gathered over 250 guests. A highlight was the talk show featuring Flavia Pennetta and Fabio Fognini — renowned Italian tennis players. Their interview, conducted by Federico Ferri from Sky Sport, brought to life stories about the athletes' careers and personalities.
Guests at the party donned white attire, enjoyed the new spaces, and participated in a buffet and gala dinner. The central court showcased dance and artistic performances, presenting tennis as an art form. Among the guests were notable figures such as Raffaella Reggi and Sandra Ceccini, emphasizing the significance of tennis to the resort.
With the opening of the new Club House, MarePineta reinforces its uniqueness and international recognition, placing tennis at the heart of its identity.
