Aristocrat and Ainsworth Agree Patent License in Australia

Aristocrat Technologies Australia Pty Limited and Aristocrat Technologies, Inc. have announced a patent licensing agreement with Ainsworth Game Technology Limited in Australia. Under this agreement, Aristocrat will grant a royalty license for its gaming patents, including the Hold & Spin patent family in Australia.

Licensing to Foster Responsible Gaming

As part of this agreement, Aristocrat has granted Ainsworth a royalty-free license for its responsible gaming patents. These innovations focus on safe gaming and include technologies such as digital wallets, account-based gaming, configurable player limits, self-exclusion, activity-based tools, and player messaging, as well as emerging AI-enabled approaches.

Commitment to Safe Gaming

Aristocrat's decision to offer this license reflects its commitment to safe gaming through technology. They argue that responsible gaming innovations should be widely available across the sector.

"We welcome this agreement with Ainsworth. Innovation and creativity are fundamental to us," commented Matthew Primmer, Product Director at Aristocrat. "We are committed to protecting the great work of our creative and technical teams."

Confidential Business Terms

The business terms of the agreement remain confidential. However, the collaboration is an indicator of Aristocrat's approach to a safe and responsible gaming environment, providing access to advanced technology to promote player protection.

This agreement between Aristocrat and Ainsworth not only strengthens their business ties but also promotes the advancement of responsible gaming tools in Australia, aligning with Aristocrat's strategy for growth and safety in the sector.
