DraftKings Reports Q2 2026 Revenue Drop to $1.44 Billion
DraftKings' Q2 revenue fell short of expectations, registering a 5% decline to $1.44 billion amid increased user engagement and sports volume.

DraftKings reported a 5% year-on-year decrease in Q2 2026 revenue, coming in at $1.44 billion. This figure missed both the previous year’s result of $1.53 billion and Wall Street’s forecast of $1.55 billion.
Financial Performance Highlights
Adjusted EBITDA for DraftKings fell significantly to $114.6 million from $300.6 million in 2025. The company reported a $67.6 million net loss, contrasting with the $157.9 million net income from the previous year. CEO Jason Robins commented on the overall performance:
"We delivered a strong second quarter and enter the back half of the year with real momentum, as our core business grew across handle, users, and engagement."
Sports and iGaming Revenue Trends
Despite the broader revenue decline, Sports Consumer Volume rose by 15% to $13.1 billion. This increase is attributed to robust customer acquisition and heightened engagement from existing users. However, sportsbook revenue declined by 10.6% to $891.9 million due to bettor-friendly outcomes. In contrast, iGaming revenue increased by 7.5% to $461.9 million.
User Engagement and Market Projections
DraftKings reached 3.6 million monthly unique users in Q2, a 9% increase. Nevertheless, average revenue per player decreased by 13% to $132. CFO Alan Ellingson stated, "Our core business remains on track to generate approximately $1 billion of adjusted EBITDA this year, providing us with financial flexibility to invest behind the significant opportunity that we are seeing in Predictions."
Future Guidance and Strategy
Even with the Q2 setbacks, DraftKings upheld its full-year revenue guidance, projecting between $6.5 billion and $6.9 billion. The company is focusing on maintaining growth in its core segments to leverage opportunities in coming quarters.
Market Position and Competition
DraftKings remains optimistic despite recent declines. By concentrating on expanding user engagement and diversifying revenue streams, the company aims to strengthen its market position and enhance its offering in a competitive landscape. The mixed results underscore the challenges and opportunities present in the fast-evolving iGaming sector.
