Mons. Alfred Xuereb Joins the Gibunco Literary Festival 2026

Gibraltar Cultural Services has confirmed that the Reverend Mons. Alfred Xuereb will participate in the Gibunco Gibraltar Literary Festival 2026. Mons. Xuereb, a Maltese prelate of the Catholic Church, works in the diplomatic service of the Holy See. Previously, he was private secretary to Popes Benedict XVI and Francis, and he is currently the Apostolic Nuncio in Morocco.

Participation in the Festival

Mons. Xuereb will present his book My Days with Benedict XVI. This work offers an intimate look into the daily life of the Pope, revealing unique details about celebrations such as Christmas and Lent alongside him. The book also explores meetings with international dignitaries and reveals personal aspects of the Pope, such as his sense of humor and spiritual reflections.
